Sherrone Moore was not fired from his job as Michigan football coach solely for what the university deemed an "inappropriate relationship."

In a memorandum dated Dec. 10, the same day Moore was told be he was being terminated for engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a staffer, Manuel wrote that the letter “serves as official notes that your employment with the University of Michigan Athletic Department is terminated for cause, effective immediately.”
