ASUS Rog Zephyrus Duo is big, weird and kind of awesome

I challenge any PC maker at CES 2026 to serve up a more eye-catching desktop design than the Asus ROG G1000, which comes kitted out with outrageous dancing holograms in the side and front windows.
Asus calls the setup AniMe Holo, claiming that it's the "world’s first holographic fan system in a prebuilt gaming PC". The G1000 boasts one 380 mm fan with 720 LEDs and two 215 mm fans with 404 lights.
Both on the glass side panel and the front of the laptop, the ROG GM1000 has what Asus is calling 'ROG AniMe Holo', which is essentially lights diffused through the fans in a way that lets them project animated holograms. It's not something that comes through super well in still photos, but it looks incredible in person, believe me.
ASUS didn't come to CES 2026 with just one big reveal. The company's ROG brand announced a bevy of new products, including a tri-fold laptop and a neat holographic gaming PC.
ASUS and XReal are preparing to launch augmented reality glasses built for console and PC gaming in the first half of 2026.
