Amazon Prime Refund Claims Open In $2.5B Settlement
Digest more
The claims process for eligible Amazon Prime customers who didn’t get an automatic refund late last year has begun in 2026. But watch for scammers.
In January 2026, Amazon began sending claim notices by mail or email to eligible Prime customers who did not receive an automatic refund between November and December 2025. This notice includes instructions on how to submit a claim to receive your money. The claims portal officially opened on January 5, 2026. Click here to complete the form.
Checks being sent out from Amazon are legit, and are part of a multi-billion-dollar settlement the company agreed to last year.
If you fall victim to a scam and lose any money, contact your bank immediately using the number on the back of your bank card. You should also report it to Report Fraud (previously known as Action Fraud), or dial 101 to reach the police if you're in Scotland.
